AM-Clad in perfect finish for Aramco Saudi Ladies International Golf event!
AM-Clad played our part in sporting history at the 2020 Ladies European Tour golf event last week, at the inaugural Aramco Saudi Ladies International, the first female golf tournament in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Held at the Royal Greens Golf Club, located in the King Abdulla Economic City, Denmark’s Emily Kristine Pedersen emerged victorious with a dramatic birdie on the first play-off hole to win her second LET title of the season, collecting the 2020 season’s largest winner’s prize, outside the majors, of €150,000.
It’s been a challenging year for women’s golf and the organisers took every precaution to ensure the safety of the 108 professional golfers as well as representatives from the sponsors Aramco, invited guests and event staff. The creation of a safe, bio-secure environment ensured the highest level of health precautions.
PCR Testing Centres with antimicrobial wall cladding
This involved the creation of temporary PCR testing centres, fitted out by Al Laith Scaffolding Company. Regarding the internal specification, Al Laith consulted AM-Clad's Regional Sales Director, Paddy McGrath who recommended AM-Clad antimicrobial wall cladding as the internal finish. The antimocrobial properties of the wall cladding add a further layer of infection control. Paddy McGrath managed the project from his base in Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates.
At present, PCR (polymerise chain reaction) testing is the way most global healthcare systems are testing for Covid-19. PCR detects viral RNA, which is present in the body before antibodies form or symptoms of the disease are present, therefore indicating whether or not someone has the virus.
Obviously, testing of this nature demands a secure, bio-safe environment with protective PPE and surfaces which can be quickly and easily sterilised between test subjects.
