Am-Clad export success praised by UK Minister for International Trade
AM-Clad are delighted to acknowledge praise for our outstanding export achievements over the last year by International Trade Secretary, Liz Truss MP, during her recent visit to Yorkshire.
Among the contracts the Trade Secretary announced was an export order to Canada by AM-Clad for our anti-microbial PVC wall cladding range, which kills bacteria and prevents the spread of germs in medical facilities, laboratories, nurseries and schools.
Trading internationally is both challenging and demanding but the AM-Clad team have worked tirelessly and passionately to execute our global growth plan in the last 12 months.
AM-Clad – UK Exporter success
With support from the DIT, AM-Clad have managed to secure large projects using ur antimicrobial and hygienic wall cladding products all over the world – in Canada, India, Pakistan, UAE, Kuwait and the Kingdom of Bahrain. We are proud of what we have achieved in such a short space of time and we are looking forward to future wins.
Secretary of State for International Trade, Liz Truss, said: “Yorkshire is home to some of the UK’s most iconic exports – from Burberry to beer – and the more than £30 million of export wins announced today show the world wants to buy what Yorkshire has to sell.
At a business roundtable, Ms Truss told entrepreneurs that businesses in post-Brexit Britain will innovate more than ever as they break into new markets across the globe, making the UK the ideas factory of the world.
In 2018, goods exports from Yorkshire and The Humber totalled £18.2bn, an increase of 8.0% on the year before, while in 2017 exports of services from the region totalled £9.6bn.
AM-Clad are proud to be part of that success, and would like to thank our international partners and clients for their support.
